ONWAA Assemblies ONWAA holds two province-wide assemblies each year, one in the spring and one in the fall. ONWAA members receive a 66% decrease in registration fees for each of the assemblies; which concentrate on providing quality training and professional development excellence. Call In Help Desk Available exclusively to ONWAA members. Open from 8:30am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday. Click for more information On-Site Training ONWAA will provide on-site training to any First Nation community in Ontario. Members in good standing with ONWAA are exempt of all professional fees associated with providing one-on-one training and are charged reimbursement of actual ONWAA travel expenses only. Head Office Training ONWAA provides FREE "in-house" one-on-one or group training to members First Nation Social Service Administrators and caseworkers at its head office. Click for more information Policy Research & Analysis ONWAA researches and conducts analysis of all provincial and federal policy changes or introductions. Conclusions are communicated to the Ontario Indian Social Services Council and the ONWAA membership during semi-annual assemblies.
ONWAA E-Learning Program is an online training program for members who are interested in taking the First Nation Social Service Administrator Certificate (FNSSAC) program. The E-Learning program offers comprehensive training of the Ontario Works program and is divided into 2 Modules: 1. Financial Assistance 2. Employment Assistance.

Policy Recommendations ONWAA Board of Directors will review provincial and federal policy changes or introductions and provide alternate implementation recommendations to the Ontario Indian Social Services Council that are best suited for delivery based on First Nation social program delivery realities. Regional Training ONWAA will develop and facilitate regional group training sessions on social assistance policy as requested by its membership. Click for more information
